Your contribution will produce a
personalized tile in your name or that of your friends and loved
ones. It will represent your personal commitment to eliminating
drugs and violence in our community. |

How
does it work?
Rotary Marine Park in Ganges, on Salt
Spring Island is being paved with the commemorative tiles that you
purchase. Thomas McPhee, local sculptor and Rotarian has created
these tiles and the centerpiece of the Marine Park - an 8 ft.
high kneeling mermaid which was installed in April, 2001. Especially crafted, these unique, hand-cast
tiles will carry your own message for visitors and locals alike to
view for years to come!
The money raised from the sale of
tiles will fund pro-active programs that teach resistance to
violence and drugs abuse in our community. It is a big
project.

Your contribution will help
support the work of the Rotary
Club of Salt Spring Island under-
writing our commitment to D.A.R.E.
[Drug Abuse Resistance Education],
building the Rotary Marine Park, maintaining the Youth Exchange
Program, international projects in Ecuador and Bolivia, student
scholarships and contributions to the Food Bank.
Your purchase of a tile will support
pro-active programs designed to remove violence in our community and
in our schools.
Funds will go to eradicating
polio around the world by 2005, as well
as contributing to local organizations.

our commitment to our community, allowing the Club to continue its
work as a community builder.

Be a

Complete and submit the order
form on this site. Your purchase of a commemorative tile will
provide the
funds necessary to train our local law enforcement officers as
teachers of the D.A.R.E. program, who in turn will tutor grade 5 and
6 students in our
elementary school system.
Your contribution will expand the student scholarship program and
support a host of other community services.
